We started the day by visiting the important and historical temples of Janakpur including Raja Janak temple, Dhanusha Dham then proceeded towards Sitamarhi, the birth place of Sita Mata.

Date of Journey - We Shot this video on 24th Feb 2024

Details of journey of this day is given below-

Raja Janak Temple - We started our day in the morning by visiting the old Raja Janak Temple, it's the place where Raja Janak spent his last days. We also saw a pond there It is said that when Lord Ram broke the Dhanush a part of it fell here.

Breakfast near Maa Rajdevi Temple - Then we had breakfast of Puri & Aloo Sabzi with Pakora. There were 2-3 street food sellers there. This Lane is at less than 100 meter walking distance from Maa Rajdevi temple.

Shree Janaki Temple - After breakfast, we visited the Shree Janaki Mata Temple & did the Darshan of Lord Ram & Mata Sita. This Temple is Dedicated to Goddess Sita, Janaki Mandir is the biggest temple in Nepal located in Janakpur.

Ram Janaki Vivah Mandap - Then we visited the Vivah Mandap of Lord Rama & Sita Mata & had the Darshan of the Mandap

Entry Ticket - Rs 7 per person

Manimandap - After this, we travelled around 2 km and reached at the actual Vivah Mandap of Lord Ram & Mata Sita we couldn’t do the darshan coz the temple was closed at that time.

Dhanusha Dham - Then we visited the Dhanusha Dham It’s believed to be the place where the broken remains of the divine Shiva bow fell after Ram broke it to obtain Sita’s hand in marriage.

Lunch at Janakpur - After this, we had Lunch at Restaurant Mithila Thali by Chef Santosh, Janakpur. We had the special Mithila Thali in Lunch.

Thali Cost - Rs 188

Punaura Dham Sitamarhi - After this, we travelled around 1.5 hours from the Janakpur & Reached the Sitamarhi Dham. The Temple priest explained us how Sita Mata was born in Sitamarhi.

After this, we ended our day
